Jacqui's New Sport!

When I was in "TRACK" in 9th grade - a sport totally dedicated to running mind you - I thought my coach had lost his mind when he asked me to fill in for the mile run. That was 4 full laps around the track - as fast as I possibly could!!! What did he think this was - cross country??? Never in a million years did I think I could do it - I only did the 1/2 mile run. (and I didn't by the way, he found someone else!) When Jacqui was 6 years old, I took her running with me and she ran a mile almost as fast as I did. Somewhere in her genetic make-up, she has acquired this athletic gene that completely skipped me! (Something I quickly learned when I had to run in the Marine Corps - one mile was NOTHING, especially when I had at least 2 more to go!!!) If there is a sport available for her to try, she's right there trying it. If there is an extra PE class that she can take in school, she's right there signing up for it. It's almost alarming how different she and I are in that department. Which leads me to this post! She's joined the volleyball team and today was her first game.

She is #1 (the number on her shirt that is...)

They won their match - beating the other team 2 out of the 3 games.

Jacqui served and scored the game point for two of the games!!!

In the stands, this is what I was dealing with...

Oh how I wish she was actually SLEEPING in this picture!!!

I know Matt felt the same way as me!!!

Turns out she is a great volleyball player!!!

She was sick of seeing my little camera flashing from the stands though!

I can't help it though - I'm just so proud of her!!!
