Happy Thanksgiving

We had an awesome Thanksgiving. We went to our neighbors - Rob and Denise - and Ski's friend Dave and his wife Heather came over. Dave has a fryer so we fried the Turkey and it was SO good! There was tons of food - no one went away hungry! Jacqui was a huge help and made the deviled eggs - she did a really good job. Everyone thought they were great! Here are some pictures from our day!

Dave lowering the Turkey - don't they look so cute - they called each other ahead of time to coordinate their outfits!!! (Kidding Dave!)

I hope we have renters insurance!!!

Inside Denise's getting the rest of the food ready!

Marine Corps Ball

On Nov 16th we went to the Marine Corps Ball with MALS-11 Marines. We had a really good time and got to see many of the Marines that I used to be stationed with. As usual my husband was the most handsome Marine at the Ball!

Happy Birthday Devil Dogs

Not only is today Veterans Day, but it is also the Marine Corps 231st Birthday.

On November 10, 1775 the Marine Corps was founded in a little Tavern called "Tun Tavern" in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. The Continental Congress commissioned Samuel Nicholas to raise two Battalions of Continental Marines, known today as the United States Marine Corps. Robert Mullan, who was the proprietor of the Tavern, was given the job of recruiting individuals into this New Corps.

Ski and I will be going to the Marine Corps Ball next week with the Marines of MALS-11 stationed aboard MCAS Miramar (my old squadron!) but today we wanted to take the time to wish every Marine - past and present - a happy birthday. It has been our honor to serve with you!

Just like Aunt Megan...

I just had to post this so Aunt Megan could see Jacqui's hair. Every morning she does her hair over and over until it's perfect. She always tells me "I just can't get it as high as Aunt Megan does!!!!" I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that Jacqui has extremely thin, straight hair, while Megan can hardly pull a brush through hers because of the thick curls. The picture below, Jacqui was very proud of this because she said it "Looked Good!" I'm telling you...boys are sooooo much easier. Matt never has a bad hair day!
