Nascar Race - Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Wow! What an experience. We had such a good time at the Nascar race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Before the race we got to meet 4 drivers - Greg Biffle, AJ Allmendinger, Reed Sorenson and Kyle Busch. 3 of them gave us their autograghs. Our seats were amazing. We sat right behind the pits in the infield. Ski and Bryan got to go right up to the pit crews and get lug nuts. They chatted with the Nascar officials and tried to get jobs. It was soooo hot that day but it was still a great race. Tony Stewart won and as usual Jeff Gordon made his way across the finish line before Jr did!

How often do you get to go THIS close???

Doesn't this official need to be paying attention to the race? Ski and Bryan take this opportunity to interview for a position.

Jack Roush - he wouldn't even turn his head to the fans so they could get his picture.

Good-bye California!!!!!!

It will probably be a while before I am able to post again. We are in the middle of our move from California to Cherry Point North Carolina. It's been a fun trip so far. My dad drove with us most of the way until we got here in Indianapolis In. We drove for 29 hours straight the first leg. After we dropped off the kids with their dad for the summer we took our time and visited the Oklahoma City memorial of the Federal building. (We also got to see Guy and Amanda - he used to be stationed with Ski in Beaufort SC.) The next day we drove through Missouri and took a tour of the Meramec Caverns to see where Jesse James hid out. Tomorrow we are going to the Nascar race and then head on up to Warren to visit with my family. From there we are going to Rogers City to see Ski's dad and Kathy. After that we are going back to Warren to visit my family again before we drive to Ohio to see Ski's mom and that side of his family. I think we will get to North Carolina the end of August. Lets cross our fingers for housing to be available. I'm sorry if I don't get to answer anyones emails or messages for a while. We will only have internet sporadically through out the next month. Thanks to my sister in law Noel for bringing her laptop and letting me make an update. In the mean time, here are a few pictures of our trip so far!!!!

Jacqui won an award before we left for the "MOST" outstanding band student. Everyone else just got "outstanding"

Our white trash picnic - watching the portable DVD on a cooler and drinking Boons Farm out of dixie cups. It doesn't get any better then that!!!Driving across country...

Okay NOW baseball is officially over...

After two straight weeks of practice every single night and a weekend playing ball as hard as they could we are officially done with Little League. The first game didn't go so well. We lost to Lake Murray 12-1. Today's game went a whole lot better and we made Kearny Mesa work for their 11-7 win! (Although Jacqui swears it was 11-8) Jacqui got to bat twice - striking out once and hitting it to third the other time and being thrown out at first. As for fielding, she played an awesome right fielder! There's never been a mother more proud!!!! (As you can see below!)

Jacqui wanted to do one window and she let Cadence help - can you tell!

Mom! Quit taking pictures of me!!!!!!!!!!

Batter UP!

This is the face of a disappointed girl that just lost her game!

(Tanner, Sean, Jacqui, and Coach Chuck)

And as an added bonus, (but mostly so that Jacqui's dad Cody could see his little girl play in her first All Star tournament) I've included a 5 minute video of the highlights of the weekend! By the end of the video the sound is a couple seconds off...

I'm sure she would LOVE to hear everyone's comments!!!!
