Sorry!

I know - I know - I haven't posted at all this month! We were really busy because my sister was in town for two weeks and then when she left to go home, Cadence and I hopped on the plane with her and came to Detroit to surprise my mom! I promise to make up for the last month because I have many pictures to post! Oh and I also want to wish my sister a Happy Birthday! We are taking her out for her birthday on Friday - I'm sure I'll have some great pictures of that!!!! Happy Birthday Megan - I love you!

The Rose Bowl!

On New Years Day we went to the Rose Bowl. I'm not even going to discuss the game - but the whole experience was awesome. As far as Rose Bowls go, Ski and I have been to 2 of them and Michigan has lost both times. We've come to the conclusion that we jinx them. We left for Pasadena at 2:00am (just in time for the bars to close and all the drunks were on the road!) and we got there at 4:30am. People were already cooking and drinking that early. (I however went to sleep in the car! Ski was too excited to sleep!) It was so cold in the morning but as the day went on the temperature rose to a nice 65 degrees. We were parked next to some USC fans who were so nice. They gave Ski shots of Tequila and fed us Carne Asada. The seats we had for the game were amazing. It was like being right down on the field!!! Though Michigan didn't do too well it was still a great time. Unfortunately Ski lost a bet to his friend at work and now has to wear a USC jersey all day one day. He wasn't thrilled about it at all! Here are a few pictures of our day!

Visitors from the South!

After Christmas we had Darlene and her fiance Clyde out to visit us from South Carolina! It was so exciting to see her - it's been almost 3 years. They wanted to see the Pacific Ocean so we went to the beach. Other then that we just hung out together at the house. Clyde is great with computers so he showed us all kinds of ways to "acquire" free stuff!

It was great to see you Darlene and a pleasure to meet you Clyde! We had a lot of fun! Can't wait to do it again - don't worry, the tribe didn't vote you off the island! Love you 4!

Jacqui WON!

Our housing complex had a coloring contest over the holidays and Jacqui was one of the winners! She won a $25 gift certificate to Barnes and Noble! Good Job J!
