Happy Halloween!

It's been a great Halloween!!! Friday I took the kids to USD college to trick or treat at the dorms and then they also had a carnival in the gymnasium where they could play games and win candy. Saturday we went to a Halloween party - Jacqui won the contest for the best (little) girls costume. Ski totally pulled off "Gilligan" - for some reason it didn't even cross our minds that I should have been Ginger or Mary-Anne!!! It was a long day at Party City that day and we just weren't thinking!!! Today they had a costume parade at the school. Jacqui was too cool to wear hers to school but Matt did. We had a blast taking them trick or treating. It was the first time Cadence went since she was only about 12 days old last year. We had a huge group trick or treating with us. Amy, Derek and their kids, Rob Denise, her parents, and their friends and all of us. Here are some pictures of the last few days!

My Three babies - Ski kept telling Jacqui to take her mask off!

Cadence didn't like the hat very much but did a great job keeping it on all night.

"Okay, What do I do now?"

"Trick or Treat!!!"

This guy was scaring everyone - Matt was running in circles screaming "Help! Help!"

Happy Birthday Ski!!!

Just wanted to wish my very handsome husband a Happy 28th Birthday!! (Can you believe that we've been together since we were 21 and 22 years old!) We celebrated by playing a game of "Sorry" with the family (that Matt won) and by going to Red Lobster - Ski's choice. Hope you had a great birthday!!!!

Cadences Birthday Party!

Saturday we had a birthday party for Cadence. She wasn't sure exactly why all of those people were at our house though! It was a lot of fun - Aunt April, you know I had to make my favorite Taco Salad!!! Thank you to everyone that came to celebrate with us!!!! The very cute birthday outfit she is wearing is from her Uncle Bryan and Aunt Noel!!!

"It's my party and I'll cry if I want to!!!"

Cadence reading her card

Her gift is bigger then she is!!!!

She had her very own cake all for herself!

Everyone waiting to see what she's going to do with the cake!!!

She's definately my child - she LOVES chocolate cake!!!

Thank you to Amiee for capturing this cheerful picture of our birthday girl...

In honor of her recent 1st birthday I've made this video of her first year. I didn't want to use the songs that are on here but I've had a few technical difficulties getting the song I wanted and if I waited to post this any longer, she'd be two years old!!! Hope you enjoy!

Happy OCTOBER...

October is a HUGE month for us! We are very busy because...

October 13 - My birthday
October 16 - our 2 year anniversary
October 19 - Cadence's 1st birthday
October 25 - Ski's birthday

and that is just our immediate family - we have other friends and family with birthdays this month also. It just so happens, my birthday was Friday the 13th this year. Not unlucky for me at all - in fact, I was treated to a very lovely dinner at Benihana's by my handsome hubby. My friend Amiee watched the kids for us. (Thank you very much!!! I know it's crazy with 5 kids at once!) After dinner we sat on our porch with our neighbors Denise and Rob. They baked us a cake and gave us each a gift! It was very nice!

Amiee took this picture of Ski and I before we left for dinner.

The cake that Rob and Denise made for us - my favorite chocolate cake with chocolate icing!!!!

Denise - I swear she's not a lush...

Rob making a silly face! (You should see his Costco card!)

Thanks everyone for making it a special birthday.

Play Ball!

The kids are playing baseball again! I can honestly tell you I miss the days when Cadence was just a little baby sleeping in her stroller while I watched the games. Now, she doesn't want anything to do with her stroller and I have to chase her everywhere - for two straight games - which lasts for four total hours. Jacqui and Matt really love to play though and I love to watch them. Ski is still coaching Matt's team. He's talked about moving up to coaching Jacqui's minors team when the regular Little League season starts. Here are a few pictures of yesterdays games.

Coach Ski "pitching" the balls to the batter.

Matt's Game...

Jacqui's game... She LOVES to catch!

She plays a little of everything - second base, catcher, center field.

The wild one...at this point, she was sooo tired and whiney. Heaven forbid someone try to take the ball away from her!!!!!!!

Busy Month!

As usual we are keeping ourselves very busy around here these days. The kids are both in baseball this fall and their games are on Sundays. Ski can't pull himself away from ESPN, college football, or the Tigers Games. Jacqui also just started playing the flute, which is also the same flute that I played and then Genie played and then Megan played. I can't believe that flute is almost 20 years old. Cadence is into EVERYTHING and her personality is certainly starting to shine through more everyday. There is no mistaking when that girl gets mad or wants something. She's definately a Wisniewski!!!! As for me I'm just trying to go to school and keep it all organized! Hope all of you are doing great! Here are a few pics of us over the last few weeks.

Me and Caders on Coronado Beach.

Matt and Ski watching the Tigers Game together.

Jacqui playing the flute - the night before band class, she was so excited she couldn't sleep!

Ski scaring the baby with our halloween decorations. He also scares Jacqui and Matt with it too - he'll hide it in their room and they will find it and scream! You should all yell at him!!!!

Jacqui coloring a picture that she drew.

This was picture day. Matt came down wearing this crazy outfit. He said "I don't care what I look like! They will only take a picture from the neck up!"

Congratulations Ski!!!!!!!!

For the last two months Ski and I have been waiting for the results of the SSgt board to be released. This last week I think I was more nervous about it then he was. (Checking the messages 10 times a day really isn't that bad is it?) Anyway, it was finally released today and I am happy to announce that my husand, Sgt Wisniewski, has been Selected for Staff Sergeant!!!! (Picture me jumping up and down, hugging him!) He'll most likely get pinned in Dec or Jan!

Congratulations baby!!! That rocker is going to look AWESOME on your arm!!!

11 years ago today!

11 years ago today I graduated from bootcamp! I was only 17 years old and thought I knew it all!!!! (Of course 3 kids, 2 husbands and one honorable discharge later, I still know it all...)

Here is the picture every Marine who has ever graduated bootcamp has of their platoon marching by...

Those glasses are HOT aren't they!!! My sister was only 9 when she put together that smiley face T-shirt and striped shorts outfit. I questioned my mom that day about Megan's fashion sense and she said (all dramatic might I add) "Don't say anything!!! She picked it out especially for today!" Being the caring sister that I am, I took Megan's sensitive feelings into consideration and to this day, I'm still making fun of her.

I was sooo "Hard Corps!"

My Drill Instructor was giving me my "Eagle, Globe, and Anchor"

Here I am with my Drill Instructors in the Squad Bay.

The BEST husband in the world!!!

So the other day me and Ski hung up my "Honorable Discharge" certificate (5 years later) and my bootcamp picture on our "Marine Corps" wall. Today, he came home and handed me a package and said "Here you go...This is just an 'I love you' gift!" When I opened it I almost cried. He had a shadow box put together for me with my rank and my ribbons and badges. He also had them put a special message to me in appreciation of my 6 years of active duty and now my dedication to the Corps as his wife. It was one of the sweetest things he's ever done for me which has earned him TONS of brownie points (and if anyone knows my husband you know his mouth gets him in trouble quicker then he can earn these brownie points!) Thank you baby! It was a wonderful surprise! I love you so much.

First Day of School

I don't know when or how this happened but my babies are in 3rd and 4th grade already!!!! I seems like I just walked them to Kindergarten let alone 3rd and 4th grade. Here are a few pictures of their first day of school last week. I'm about a week behind now that my school has started and I'm trying to get used to the full load I'm carrying!
Jacqui and Matt before they left for school!

I captured this very rare moment of Jacqui actually HELPING her brother and so I had to post it to show everyone!

Aunt Megan woke up to get pictures of them before they went to school - she's so hot in the morning!
