Girls Night Out!!!

The night before I had to go home, we took my sister out for her birthday! We took her to Fuddruckers first and then to Woody's in Royal Oak. Apparently it was dork night and there were a bunch of FREAKS everywhere we looked!!!

Getting 6 of us ready and out the door wasn't the easiest thing to do. We were over an hour off schedule - the usual for my family! (My hair was washed and ready to go Tam, so not a word!!!!)

Girls night!

After my Grandma died, my Aunts and my mom started getting together every Wednesday for "girls night." We are all really close and we sit and talk, play games, make fun of each other, eat dessert - which they take turns bringing each week. During the holidays we have girls night Christmas in which we get each other gifts and have dinner together. On birthdays we do the same thing. This week it was my sisters 21st birthday. Before everyone got there for girls night we took her to "Logans" for dinner. We all got a drink - a Jammin' Strawberry. My sister took maybe three sips. My mom downed hers but that is because she is a closet alcoholic - you know I had to throw that in there ma! :-) This week my Uncles also came to girls night because I was there.

Just like Aunt Megan...

I just had to post this so Aunt Megan could see Jacqui's hair. Every morning she does her hair over and over until it's perfect. She always tells me "I just can't get it as high as Aunt Megan does!!!!" I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that Jacqui has extremely thin, straight hair, while Megan can hardly pull a brush through hers because of the thick curls. The picture below, Jacqui was very proud of this because she said it "Looked Good!" I'm telling you...boys are sooooo much easier. Matt never has a bad hair day!

First Day of School

I don't know when or how this happened but my babies are in 3rd and 4th grade already!!!! I seems like I just walked them to Kindergarten let alone 3rd and 4th grade. Here are a few pictures of their first day of school last week. I'm about a week behind now that my school has started and I'm trying to get used to the full load I'm carrying!

Labor Day weekend!

We had a very nice - very BUSY - Labor Day weekend. On Friday Ski went to Vegas for a Bachelor party. It was just me and Cadence hanging out together. Saturday my sister Megan and her boyfriend Bobby came to town for a visit. That night they bought me dinner at my favorite restaurant Casa Guatalajara. On Sunday, we got up early, I rented a mini van and we headed to LA. The kids were flying into LAX that afternoon so we drove around Hollywood and Beverly Hills before their plane landed. After the kids got here, we then headed to the California Speedway and met Ski for the Nascar race. We got free tickets from the military and they were awesome seats! Cadence got to go to her first Nascar race before she even turned a year old. She was nervous at first but after a couple laps you'd think she'd been going to these kinds of events for years!

We had an awesome weekend even though it was so busy! Hope everyone else had a great weekend too. Oh and I'd also like to congratulate our friend Darlene in South Carolina who got engaged to her boyfriend Clyde this weekend! We are so happy for you!!!!
